Jenny Heller joins Quercus

HarperCollins publishing director Jenny Heller is moving to Quercus, where she will help to grow the publisher’s non-fiction business.

Heller will begin her role, again as publishing director, on 10th October, and will “contribute significantly to the next phase of growth as the company moves to being a significant medium-sized publisher”.

Mark Smith, Quercus c.e.o., said: “I am delighted that Jenny is joining Quercus as her expertise in areas of non-fiction that are new to Quercus will be essential to supporting the development of our non-fiction publishing.

“Growing our non-fiction business is a key part of our ambition for future years and expanding into new areas such as cookery has long been an ambition. The Quercus non-fiction programme has had notable successes in 2011, such as The King’s Speech, Dead Men Risen and An Epic Swindle, all of which have been top 10 bestsellers and we look forward to Jenny’s authors joining the bestseller charts in the future.”
