Katie Piper – Things Get Better
Katie Piper shares the key steps that led to her emotional recovery and acknowledges the pain we have all felt at times, whether suffering a breakup, life change or more serious trauma.
Britain’s most inspiring young woman, Katie Piper is living proof that if you believe, you will survive.
In her new book, Things Get Better, Katie answers the question, ‘Where did you find the strength to carry on?’ She shares the key steps that led to her recovery and acknowledges the pain we all feel at times, whether suffering from a breakup, life change, grief or trauma. Drawing on her own experiences and letters she’s received from other survivors, Katie shows that we can all find the power to heal our invisible scars.
In 2008, Katie Piper survived a rape and vicious acid attack that left her with facial disfigurement. Her moving Channel 4 documentary, Katie: My Beautiful Face detailed her recovery and was watched by a record 3.5 million viewers. Her memoir, Beautiful was an instant bestseller. Katie has since founded her own charity, The Katie Piper Foundation, to help people living with burns and scars, and she recently received a prestigious Woman of the Year award.
