Diana Souhami: The Real Edith Cavell - A Biographer's Task

 

Diana is an award winning writer of biographies, short stories and plays. She was born in London in 1940 and before becoming a full time biographer worked in the BBC publications dept.
Diana’s lecture will be followed by the unveiling of a unique Edith Cavell Bas Relief which has been commissioned by the school and is being created by sculptor Robert Hunt.  Robert has completed over 50 commissions in the last 20 years including a number of commissions for the Royal Mint and received the Olin-Stones Award in 2004 for best relief sculpture at the Society of Portrait Sculptors annual exhibition.
