Faced with the inauguration, this story has really given me hope this week. 13-year-old Taylor Richardson set up a GoFundMe campaign to give 100 girls the opportunity to see Hidden Figures (about three women who were the unsung heroes of space travel at NASA) for free; the idea being to encourage young girls in the field of STEM research, which is notoriously gender imbalanced. I wish I were as engaged in societal issues at Taylor’s age. Absolutely brilliant!

I will put my hands up and admit that I own a bookshelf full of ‘clean-eating’ books. I’ve made chia seed pudding for breakfast (don’t do it, the texture is too much to handle at 8am in the morning) and dabbled with the idea of buying a spiraliser. This article explores the dangers of clean eating and whether it’s all becoming just a bit too much.

In a dark week, the major chink of light for me is that I GOT HAMILTON TICKETS! I’ll be counting the days until November, listening to the OCR and watching this.
