If this doesn’t fill you with horror (and believe me it terrifies me!) and a little bit of dread then we’ve got the […]Read More

It’s almost here! We’re so excited to get this sneak-peek of Daniel Radcliffe as Ig in the film adaptation of Joe Hill’s Horns (‘a stonking book’, according to Empire! 4th of July
At our weekly blog scheduling meeting I made a comment about something American (as I unfortunately do too much) and my colleagues jumped on the chance to get me to write a blog post for Independence Day (4th of July). I did at one point in this conversation threaten to declare Independence . . . […]Read More

Read this book with the lights on: NOS4R2
Our May book of the month is NOS4R2. This book is terrifying. Don’t believe us. . . let Gillian Redfearn tell you a little more about it.
Some books are too scary to read even with the lights on. Some are too scary to read even when you’re surrounded by people in the middle of the day.
This book gave me nightmares.
This book still makes me shiver when I see a Rolls Royce.
This book will under your skin, into your mind, and once it’s there it will never leave.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
And whatever you do, don’t get in the car . . .
We did warn you. It’s a very good thing that the days are getting longer, because you’ll need all the daylight you can get to read this book. Next week we’ll be bringing you a very special extract read by Joe Hill himself.
See you then!Read More

Stephen King – The Master of Horror
It wouldn’t be a week of Halloween themed posts without a piece about the master of the horror genre, Stephen King. Just his name is enough to evoke a chill down the spine. For some of us, it’s enough to make us quicken our step when we’re walking home alone in the dark; enough to […]Read More
