Top Five Hot Chocolates

Hot Chocolate

As the weather begins to turn, it’s time to rekindle your love for hot chocolate. We’ve put together our list of the top five spots in London for when you need to escape from the cold.

Choccywoccydoodah
No trip to Choccywoccydoodah is complete without a mug of their famous hot chocolate. Pure molten Belgian chocolate is stirred into warm milk and served with whipped cream and a chocolate straw. If you feel like indulging your sweet tooth, look no further than the Our Most Decadent Drinking Chocolate, a mug of molten chocolate and fudge, topped with whipped cream, two chocolate straws and served with Plumpies and chocolate dipped fudge.

Said
Glass bottles filled with chocolates of all shapes and sizes line the window at Said. Their hot chocolate can be spotted bubbling away in little cauldrons behind the glass counter. We recommend the caramel hot chocolate. Made with handmade Italian chocolate, the thick, rich drink is accompanied by a generous helping of caramel drizzled across the brim of the cup.

Chin Chin Labs
An ice cream lab might seem like a strange destination for hot chocolate but Chin Chin Labs is the perfect spot to warm up after an afternoon wandering around Camden Market. Their creamy hot chocolate is made with Valrhona chocolate and served with a giant handmade toasted marshmallow.

Rabot 1745
Owned, by Hotel Chocolat, you know you’re in safe hands with Rabot 1745. Serving gingerbread, salted caramel, white chocolate and nutmeg, chilli, hazelnut and rum alongside their classic hot chocolate, Rabot 1745 is the perfect spot to experiment with new flavours. We recommend the hazelnut hot chocolate, rather than essence or liqueur, this is made with finely pulverised hazelnuts.

Rococo
For a truly decadent hot chocolate experience, you need to visit Rococo for a chocolate breakfast or afternoon tea. Made with grated organic Grenada chocolate, the hot chocolate at Rococo is served with a complimentary truffle. We recommend the sea salt hot chocolate in their flagship store in Belgravia.
