Samantha Young & Emma from Book Angel Booktopia choose their book boyfriend

Day one of our search for the ultimate Valentine’s Day book boyfriend and we’re joined by bestselling author Samantha Young and Emma from the blog Book Angel Booktopia

See if you agree with their choices below, then let us know YOUR choice of book boyfriend on Facebook or Twitter #valentinesbookboyfriend. If they feature in one of our books, you could be in with the chance of winning a copy!

Samantha:

My favourite book boyfriend has to be Jericho Z Barrons from Karen Marie Moning’s FEVER SERIES. I read this series once a year just so I can savour Barrons over and over again. He’s actually more anti-hero than hero, but I love how mysterious, complicated, funny, brooding and scary powerful he is. He keeps me guessing and I absolutely adore his insane chemistry with the heroine Mac.

Emma:

I was so excited to talk book boyfriends when Clara mentioned the idea to me. Then she dropped the bomb that I would have to pick ONE. I mean come on my book boyfriend changes with every book I read, the list just keeps growing 🙂 Well it did get me thinking, I love a bad boy as much as anyone BUT could I really see myself with one. The answer is NO, I am far too insecure, even at my age, to deal with all the baggage a bad boy carries. So that leaves the good guys, it’s a complete myth that they finish last you know.

I have to say originally I was going to cheat and go with two hot cowboys both by the same author (so not REALLY cheating) Chance Anderson and Jesse Walker both characters from Three Brothers by the wonderful Nicole Williams. Don’t get me wrong they totally have the whole alpha male thing going on *swoon* BUT they have hearts of pure gold and the women they love are worshiped 🙂

But then I remembered who I turn to for comfort. When I am feeling a little down or just in need of a good dose of warm and fuzzies, my go to guy HAS to be Lucas Maxfield. I seriously loved him in Easy by Tammara Webber but when I read Breakable there was no turning back. This guy has my heart in his hands every single time. So if you haven’t met Lucas yet, remember that boy is MINE 😉

Hero by Samantha Young is out now.
