What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Senior Rights Manager you will provide administrative support to all three members of the rights department as they focus their efforts on author care and securing sales. The role will involve selling production materials plus some other rights selling responsibilities (based on the candidate’s experience), preparing presentations to customers and coordinating sales material for international book fairs.

Who we’re looking for

This role is for a highly motivated individual with a minimum of two years’ experience working in rights. The successful candidate will be a team player with a meticulous eye for detail, spelling and grammar, have the ability to use their own initiative and strong organisational and time-management skills. They will have excellent interpersonal skills and will be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers and colleagues. Excellent PC skills including Excel (previous experience using Biblio, PowerPoint or website maintenance and social media would be desirable) and an effective email and telephone manner are essential. They will be a voracious reader with a wide-ranging taste in all fiction and non-fiction from commercial to literary; they must enjoy rom-coms as much as Booker Prize-winners.
